Pauline T. Mayer

Pauline Mayer has extensive experience in public relations and marketing. Her strengths lie in managing public relations campaigns for the medical device industry, particularly startups, medical specialists and for medical conferences. She has managed and promoted advocacy issues for several non-profits and has helped facilitate public awareness on regulatory issues.

Ms. Mayer is a former Director of Public Affairs for the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council, Inc., a trade association representing 24 not-for-profit community and governmental hospitals on Long Island (including North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, University Medical Center at Stony Brook, Catholic Health Services of Long Island, Peconic Health System and Veterans Affairs Medical Center).

In addition, Ms. Mayer was the Editor of NY & LI Hospital and Health News, a publication of the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council that was distributed to health care executives, providers, legislators, nursing home/sub acute care facilities, etc.

Ms. Mayer also served as Director of Communications & Marketing for St. Charles Hospital (Port Jefferson, NY) where she was responsible for the reorganization of their public relations offices and participated in their turnaround process.

Throughout her career, she has coordinated and organized press conferences, educational programming and medical conventions. In addition, Ms. Mayer serves as the Executive Director for the International Society for Vascular Surgery, a non-profit organization. Pauline has written at length on physician profiles, advocacy matters, trends in clinical research, etc. In addition to providing public relations and media support to clients, Pauline currently serves as editorial advisor for Vein Magazine and several other publications.
